From the moment you enter Culverdene Day Nursery you will be impressed by the cheerful rooms and happy faces. At Culverdene Day Nursery we are committed to providing the highest quality child care and early education for your children, from age 3 months to 5 years. Our objective at Culverdene is to give your child as much love and support as you do, allowing you the peace of mind to pursue your own busy lifestyle, secure in the knowledge that your child is in safe, caring hands.
We have a settling in policy which, with your help, ensures that your child adapts to nursery life quickly and happily. During your child's settling in sessions, you will be introduced to his or her key worker, who will be available for you to speak to each day that your child attends nursery. This helps develop a strong partnership with parents in order to provide the most effective supplementary care for your child. All of our policies and procedures are available for you to look at during your settling in visits.
Philosophy We believe that the early years of a child's life are fundamental in laying down the foundations for the future.
Vision With Cheerful rooms and happy faces, we aim to be the friendliest nursery, where everyone is welcome and included.
Values To give your child as much love and support as you do.
Mission A flexible approach in support of modern families, to give you the peace of mind to pursue your own busy lifestyles.
Throughout our nursery we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYSF). This sets the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five. Through observation, assessment and planning, we ensure that we plan for each child's individual learning journey and make sure that their time with us is challenging and enjoyable. We make sure that your child's earliest experiences with us help him or her to build a secure foundation for learning throughout school years and beyond.
We take great care that your child's dietary programme is observed and that any ethnic considerations are taken into account.
Our nursery is Ofsted inspected and complies to the highest quality standards of safety and care. All of our staff are fully qualified; NNEB, CACHE, BTEC or NVQ level 3 or above in Nursery Nursing, and receive regular training in all aspects of nursery care. Well motivated and rewarded, our staff are experienced and enthusiastic and chosen for their love and understanding of children.
We place great importance on the needs of the individual child and our high ratio of staff to children ensures that each child is introduced to relevant activities at the appropriate stage of his or her development. Our staffing ratios are higher than Ofsted recommendations:
